Ben Haskell, Headmaster 

Ben received his Masters of Christian School Administration from Grace Theological Seminary in Winona Lake, Indiana and his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Massachusetts. Returning to his Massachusetts and Cape Cod roots, Ben Haskell's  journey in Christian schools first began as a teacher at Faith Christian Academy (Hyannis) in 1978 and later in 1984 as the founder/principal of Heritage Christian Academy, (North Falmouth).  Ben served 18 of his 30 plus years in Christian schools as the Superintendent of West Hills Christian School in Portland, Oregon.  The independent K-8 school in Portland grew from 265 to as high as 455 students, obtained dual accreditation, added academic and extra-curricular offerings, and underwent several capital campaigns to expand the campus during his tenure.

Ben also served as Chairman of the Northwest Regional Accreditation Commission for the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI).  During his service on the Commission, he was involved in leading and participating on more than 15 accreditation teams to evaluate schools within ACSI’s Northwest Region (Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Alaska, and Montana).
 

Ben is glad to be back in New England closer to his family and closer to his favorite teams:  The Red Sox, Celtics, Patriots and The Boston Bruins.  He and his wife, Peg, have been married for 35 years and have both been involved in Christian education. Their life service and commitment to Christian schools are reflected in their three children and three grandchildren.  All three of their daughters attended Christian schools from kindergarten through college.

 

Denise Wiegand, Admissions/Assistant Administrator

 

Formerly a resident of California and New York, Denise received her MFA and BFA from Rochester Institute of Technology in Photography, Journalism & Design and has continued her professional development through Association of Christian Schools International. Committed to quality Christian Education, Denise Wiegand has worked at Trinity Christian Academy for nine years. Denise has held numerous positions during her time here at Trinity and currently is the Assistant Administrator and Admissions Director.  Grounded in a Christian faith since her early twenties, Denise has worked in youth ministries with Campus Crusade for Christ and Intervarsity Christian Fellowship, along with local youth ministry at her home church. Denise is the mother of two wonderful teenage daughters and has lived on Cape Cod for 19 years. Cooking, Baking, Photography and going to the beach are some of her favorite things to do outside of school.

 

 

Lisa Williamson, Upper Level (Grades 7-12) Lead Teacher

Lisa received her BS in Occupational Therapy from Tufts University in Boston.  Along with teaching Physical Science, Biology, Chemistry, Anatomy/Physiology and Marine Biology to upper level students. (grades 7-12), she also enjoys her roles as Student Council Advisor and drama teacher.  As Trinity's Upper Level Lead Teacher, Lisa also oversees college planning, preparation, guidance and the administration of PSAT exam

Jessica King, Staff Accountant

 

As Staff Accountant at Trinity, Jessica oversees accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll and human resources.  She also provides financial reports to the Board of Trustees each month and works with the Headmaster to prepare the school's annual operating budget.  Jessica earned an AS in Accounting from Cape Cod Community College and has two more classes left to earn her degree in Business Administration from Suffolk University.  She has an extensive amount of experience as a tax accountant and local business owner on Cape Cod.   

 

 

Brenda Parsons, Registrar/Office Manager

 

Brenda Parsons found Trinity while looking for a high school for her youngest son.  He graduated from TCA in 2010 and Brenda stayed on because she believes in Trinity and what she is accomplishing in the lives of students.  Brenda  lives off Cape, in Wareham where she moved from Plymouth, with her husband of 30 years and three children, to be involved in a Vineyard Church in 2008.  In 2009 her oldest son was married and in 2010 she became a grandmother.  Brenda has been with TCA for over five years and can't imagine serving anywhere else. 

 

Peg Haskell, Director of Development

 

Peg Haskell earned a BS in Business Administration with a minor in secondary education from Stonehill College.  Peg has 10 years of experience as a high school Marketing/Business teacher and 11 years experience as a Director of Development .  During her tenure at Westside Christian High School in Lake Oswego, Oregon, she enjoyed mentoring students in her role as a DECA advisor (A marketing association for high school students) and serving as State Chair on the Oregon DECA Board of Directors.   In 2000 she accepted the offer to serve as Director of Development at West Hills Christian School in Portland, Oregon.  While serving at West Hills Peg was privileged to be involved in successful capital campaigns that helped establish a private foundation for the school, expanded the campus facilities, and retired debt.  In her role as Director of Development at Trinity, Peg enjoys connecting with TCA alumni and friends, grant writing, fundraising and event planning.  She loves being back on Cape Cod where she and her husband raised their children.  Peg enjoys singing, decorating, writing and spending time with her grandchildren, family and friends.
