Fundraisers

Trinity Christian Academy is a nonprofit 501 ( c ) ( 3) organization.  Tuition does not cover the entire cost to educate our students.  Donations and annual fundraisers help close the gap, provide capital improvements and financial aid.

Each of the following annual fundraising efforts helps support the mission of the school:

Annual Appeal:  Contributions to the Annual Fund help provide resources and programs that are not fully funded by tuition.  Parents, alumni, and friends have an opportunity to make a special contribution to the school in the fall and throughout the year.  Contributions to the annual fund help close the gap in the annual operating budget.

Hoop-a-Thon: The Hoop-a-Thon is the school's main student fundraiser.  Each fall the students gather pledges and donations for this one day event.  This "basketball" fundraiser has raised $25,000 to $30,000 per year.  The proceeds from the event are designated to capital improvements that benefit the school community.  Examples of capital improvements that were provided by the Hoop-a-Thon include: student and faculty laptops, new activity center floor, sports and gym equipment, a new school van, and new carpeting.

Spring Banquet:  The Annual Spring Banquet raises financial aid funds for students who qualify.  Without the generosity of TCA Friends and Alumni, many of our students would not be able to attend Trinity.  Approximately 40 percent of our students receive financial aid.
